Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that Alcohol 120% and Fantom CD seem to be the same program? Kind of like Morpheus and Kazaa.
I was using Fantom CD a while back for it's virtual drive capabilities. I finally went and tried Alcohol out because I heard so much hype about it and wanted to check it out. It seems to be that Alcohol is just the "next version" of Fantom. I like it for it's virtual drive abilities too, but I still don't believe it can do any better than CloneCD, as some have said, at making a true 1:1 of anything. It can do more formats is all, but you have less options for each. I still use the actual programs for their respective formats rather than Alcohol. Like CloneCD to make IMG/CCD and CDRWin for BIN/CUE, etc. The odd one out is ISO. What program makes those by default!?!?! It's the "standard" and I've yet to find a program that makes them by default. Discuss...inform, enlighten: Last edited by Elvin Presler; 17-01-2003 at 11:05. |
