First of all, dummying is not required !
All my backups work fine with no dummy file. You might be able to delete the dummy file and then insert a new one using Daemon's tools, but I never tried this. Otherwise, extract all the files from your image using any method you want (CDMage works fine), then make an empty file with any dummy creator you want ("newfile" works fine) and then, use either Echelon's method or Bin2Boot method.
