The *.bin file that you are trying to patch does not have to be from an original. However - upon saying that... It has to be a good copy!
Thw other thing is... if the file you are patching is a rip, and has already been patched for PAL NTSC reasons, then you may not have a great deal of success. My advice is to get a new TV that can uderstand both video formats. They com a dime a dozen. If you cant afford that get an NTSC - PAL signal converter. It all saves mucking around making coasters.
