Sony
The Sony is a DVD+R. All DVD+R write at 2.5x. It is fine for films and most standalone player will read it, and it is compatible with the new DVD recorders for TV. The problem is that it doesnt write DVD-R, which is what you need for PS2 games and a lot of PC drives.
DVD+R best for Movie production DVD-R best for Games Hope this helps
