Anyone attempt copying Tropico??

Has anyone here attempted to copy Tropico?? I am having difficulty making a backup of it. I have a Ricoh MP7083A burner and have used every program i have seen on the net. CloneCD reads it and burns it, but when i try to install from the backup i get an error message. I believe there are physical errors on the disc but am not sure. The disc itself has a 1mm ring about 3mm into the disc(from the middle out). IF ANYONE CAN HELP, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!! THANKS!!

BOT is on a distinguished road
This is one of the easiest to do.
Copy ALL files from CD to a temp directory on your hard drive.
Download the latest patch and patch your installed game.
Copy the installed games tropico.exe to your temp directory _setup folder overwriting the original one.
Burn the contents of the temp directory to new cd.
Voila, a legitimate, latest version Tropico install cd.
