aoe2 conquerors NO CD patch not working

i have a perfect burn ( bin and cue iso image) and the game plays fine with the "cd burner" patch from megagames...but i have trouble trying to play multiplayer with this patch....now the NOCD patch from gamefix should fix the problem of "insert the correct cd" but when i go to apply the patch it says "filesize too small"...i just apply the nocd patch to aoe2_x1.exe right??? does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it to not say "insert correct cd"

well if noone will tell me about the patches..will someone explain how to get the daemon tools to get the game to work...?
