Need for Speed Porsche 2000 what is wrong ?????

I have tried making a backup of this game (PAL Eng. German, Swed. version) but all I get is coasters. I know the game needs a patch, which I found on Megagames. I used CDRWin and PPF-O-Matic like I always do for my other backups. The game doesn't even startup, it is like my playstation cannot read the cd. I have had this problem once with the Tarzan game (dutch version). Does any one know what is wrong???
