Try doing a search on this subject. It has been covered countless times. You will find a great deal of useful info in the ps2 ultimate info sticky where it mentions dnas patching, you will need to patch the disk id. Type in the advanced search "online with backups" and select only in ps2 forum. This should put you on the right path.

ok i did some research on it and i realise you need

disc id utility and windip 1.7

i got both of those and i even burned the disc id utility to a cd but i cant get it to load up on my ps2, how would i go about doing that. it shows the cd in the browser but if i click it i get the red screen of death.

Thanks! All I did was show you the way. You did the rest. Good job, and glad you got it sorted.

I will share my search testimonial for the benefit of those future readers.

My "Search" Testimonial.
Most everything I have learned here has been mainly due to the search option. Alot of newb's will just start a new thread and post a Q about the same stuff over and over(Note: No offense intended. Not calling you a new-B lol.) As I was saying thou, these same ole repeated Q's got to the point where almost every reply was "Read the rules" and "Try doing a search", not because the members didnt want to help the junior gamelings, but more as a means to help them, help themselves. We want nothing more than to help those ppl with their gaming endeavors. We also want to make their stay here at the forums pleasant, educational, and prolong their stay with our strict gaming code. Rules are enforced strictly, no matter how long a member has been with us. Its hard to explain every little detail and this reply is not just for you, it is for future readers as well. This type of help may not seem to be as useful to a person who wants the straight and narrow answer to completing their immediate task, but in the long run helps them more than they will ever realize. This mainly points them in the right direction, and they stand a very good chance to learn more than they bargained for along the way. This is not the case with everyone but it is for most. Happy gaming to all and may the best of your past be the worst of your future.

Your friend and fellow gamer!
CGL
