Conflict Desert Storm II - keyboard dead!

Hi, I tried the Deviance crack, as well as the GCW one (appear to be the same), and when I try to create a new profile, or get in the game, the keyboard input is ignored...

This is under w2k, dx9.0b

The official demo works fine...

Ideas?

Thanks!

No luck on MegaGames. Not a programmer so no homemade cracks either...

Has anyone gotten the Deviance crack actually working? If yes, what's different? XP vs. w2k, etc..

Thanks,

HT

Anyone tested with the original cd and with no crack ? In other words is this a game problem or a crack problem ?

If this is happening with the original cds too, then your best bet is to go and create a ruck on the official forums. By the way, you people dont have gamepads connected to your PC via USB do you? I've been reading that more and more games are not responding to keyboard commands due to some kind of conflicts with them or the game trying to use the gamepad itself as the default input method.

It's working now!

Nothing suggested so far was working (no USB patch for me, as I run W2K, no relevnt game patches), so I was about to uninstall the game to clear out some HD space, but decided to give it a last try.

On a hunch I simply tried with 16bpp/640x480, and was able to create a profile, etc. and play. I have now bumped it back up to 32bpp and a higher resolution, and it still works fine.

HTH
