DVD Burner theory...

Hey peeps,
Maybe this is just a newbie talking but here goes my theory:
-I have read several tutorials on how to backup copies of PS2 games I own, particularly the ones about DVD games such as GT3 which I love.
-The general methos seems to be to remove unneccessary files to reduce the overall size so it will fit on an 80min cd (such as other language menus, movies etc). Obviously there is more to it than that (dummy files, isobuster, dvd checks being removed etc).
SO
I have aDVD burner and would I be right in thinking if I follow the same procedure, use Nero 5.5.4.0 I can burn successful copies but leave all the files on the disc?? (or a lot more than with a cdr )
-Surely the only difference is the ammount of space you have to play with so the burning method should be the same or very similar?

Please let me know if I am right or just being a complete dumbass newbie (I have cracked doing normal PS2 games you see, just wanna see if I can do a copy of my GT3 disc with all the movies and music now that I've invested in a DVD writer)

I have had the same idea. I have a pioneer dvr-A03 burner. I just copied the GT3 game to a DVDR. I have yet to install the required neo2.2 needed to boot the dvdr. I do however have the GS1.9 needed to boot the dvdr. I still have to find a DVD game that has a larger TOC that the GT3 game. If you visit sgt-dan 's
webpage, you'll understand better.

If you find any better info on this, let me know too.
