Question I Bought a Magic III But Need Install Advice

I bought the magic III, and a freind of mine is very good with electronics. He looked over the diagrams on the internet and said he could easily install the chip for me. But what tools do i need to install it? I know i need a soldering iron but what wattage, what gauge of wires, and do i have to use an adhesive to attach the magic III to my mainboard? He has a lot of low wattage soldering irons so im not terribly worried about that but i really need to know about the wire gauge, and how to secure the chip once it is installed. If you can help me i would really appreciate it all advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have a V5 NTSC PS2.

I got mine modded by modchips-usa. They guarantee it to work, and if they mess it up. You get a brand new pre-modded V7. Valued at $400.
