Question Problems with V7 Magic2 Chip???

Hey guys, i recently ordered a premodded magic2 from genomods but they finally contacted me and told me if i wanted a refund since all of their v7 chips had faulty code that would not allow the playing of ps1 backups since the only way the chip would work is with the s-wire disconnected....so i decided to take care of my mod problem locally, do you guys know whether all the v7 chips have faulty codes so if i order one from modchip.ca, am i going ot get a faulty chip? Also, should i wait until they figure this mess out before i buy a chip? thanks.

modchip.ca were the ones who brought the community's attention to the problem. Unfortunately their notices are on the forums and not their web site. I'd hold fire for the moment if you are an NTSC owner.
