i: selfbooting - find all files containing CD001 with a simple batch

get a tool called xfind on http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/
its a so called batch enhancer

if you put it in your selfboot directory use the following line
to check if more than one file has to be patched:

xfind "CD001" .\data\*.bin

or
xfind "CD001" .\data\*.* /S for deep scan :-),
just to be shure

it gives out the filenames of the files containing
CD001 (63 64 30 30 31)

do this before using any selfbooting patch
and avoid coasters

I just got Evolution 2 today. That game is non-boot and has 278 !!! Bin-Files and all are in the root-folder. Never had something like this before, and had no idea how to check them all. Then I come here and read this. You saved my a*s. Thanx dude for posting this.

And well it's fast too
