This has to do with UltraARC, but also with the installer I usually use.
I compressed a 2.84 GB game to 1.68 GB, which I am perfectly fine with. I used these settings:
Precomp, LOLZ, SREP, and LZMA.
The installer I am using is this by Rinaldo:
https://fileforums.com/showthread.ph...highlight=RINA
I get these errors:
"Not an SREP compressed file"
"Unarc.dll returned an error code -2, unsupported compression method"
I am assuming not all installers that are posted here can do certain compression combinations, I just wanted to finally try out UltraARC since it gave me better results then normal FreeARC.
Would I have to try out a different installer, or is there something I have to add or drag and drop? If its the first, then what would you prefer? If its the second, what would i add?
Now, if i just do Precomp + SREP with UltraARC, i just get this error:
"Incompatible compressed data format"
Is this fault on UltraARC? How do I do precomp + srep on normal FreeARC if thats the case? Everywhere i look, it literally just has people that say can do it, but not show how to actually apply it.
