Not sure what you mean but of course you can play backups on your PSX given that you've got modchip of sometype and YES you can play the backups on the PSX emulator for the PC..Backup disc or the Original works fine..Although I'm not really fond of Emulators except for the Old School Arcade classics like Rastan,RoboCop and etc..These are the Classics..
Can't get enough of it..
