Thanks a lot for that response.Sorry for the delay in acknowledging that, but i was a way for the weekend.
Your reply helped, but i do have another question....do i hear you say, "OH no!!!!"
From what you said, i understand now that Clone CD makes real 1:1 copies, but that bcos some titles have anti-mod protection, they will not load in a modded console, and so Clone CD copies will suffer the same fate also!!!!Hence the need for patching.
Whereas CDWIN copies do not do a real 1:1 copy and so require patching not only for anti-mod protection detection, but also for other protectin present...eg. Libcrypt etc....
Is this correct, or am i still confused????????
Also, when you say REGION CODE protection, do you mean the PAL Vs NTSC patching issue????
Finally, i have heard that PAL TV user can buy a fully loaded Scart Lead which means they don't have to patch...Is this true??
But wouldn't they still need the appropriate mod-chip in order to play the backed up game, given the boot sequence protection,
and would a seperate mod-chip be also required in order to boot correctly to the region governing the PS you have also????
Hope to get your input on this one
Thanks in advance.
