The best way of makeing a working BACKUP of the Sims is to use clone CD or Discjuggler, with RAW read/write turned on. That will copy the CD exactly including all the weak sectors on the CD which means you won't need to crack it. Or you could just copy ALL the files to a folder on your HD abd burn it with something like Nero, but if you do it that way then you will need to crack it.
