no that's not the problem, the image is fine.
this error is just a phenomenon of Safedisc with some crappy adds by EA on CD.
Without SP2 I was able 2 play all Safedisc games ( Sims2 too). But one day my PC crashed and I couldn't start up anymore. So I decided to reinstall Windows but the CD was scrached and produced CRC errors. Microsoft gave me a new cd with SP2 included and viola, Sims2 doesn't start anymore, never.
I also get this error with EA footballmanager06 and NfS:MW Black edition (US 3
CD). But there is a trick. I start the shortcut about 20 times and if I'm lucky, one of these cause the game to start. This doesn't work for Sims2.
So I would be really thankfull if anybody can find a way 2 play without CD.
