Okay, I'm hoping someone can help me with this... I recently moved into the States from Europe and brought with me my old faithful PSX (model SCPH-9002, 50/60 Hz) with the bundle of PAL games I have for it.

Naturally it wouldn't work in the States as it is, because the voltage is different. So I got a voltage transformer, so that part is covered. Then, of course, the video signal is PAL, which is not compatible with the NTSC TVs they have here. So I look for months and finally find a PAL-NTSC converter from chipzone.com. That's all well and good, I've got colour and everything, but the video image is so jumpy it is impossible to tell what's going on in the picture.

Mind me, I am no video specialist, this is mostly rather new to me...so I finally conclude that the TV's (Toshiba 27A42) probably pushing out image at a higher refreshrate.

Presumably, the source is 50 Hz and the TV is 60 Hz, in which case I suppose the convertor I have doesn't help...at all.

Any suggestions as to what I can do? I've read about so called patches that you can use, but are those of any help if the problem is with the refresh rates?
