As for the action replay 2 getting scratched up...sorry but thats a crap. If you don't look after your disks it's you're own problem. and how it would get scratched up with a nosolder mod I couldn't see it. With neo2.2 possibly seeing as you're holding reset down all the time.

I don't know your prices etc but nowhere hear could do a ps2 noswap for a FEW dollars more. In manchester you can freely pick up noswap mod for £10 then £10 for swap magic 2 disk or £20 for action replay.
So it's either £20 or £30. whereas there is no way any installers around here (i know them personally) will do messiah 2 or magic 3 installed for less than £80

Yes they not perfect but neither is magic 3.

I have been doing installs since the day the first saturn mod came out, and followed backups since commodore64 tapes

Just I used to find this forum was helpful to anyone regardless of which mod they have. Any1 who posts with anything other than messiah or magic problems just gets comments such as "It's crap get a messiah2" i advise the messiah 2 over all and have a personal machine finally as from today with messiah2.
But why not help the peeps that don't have the finances.
You do have some strong points jay_83 and i hope i am not offending anyone but if the swap magic disc dont boot all games then are they really worth the money?? Cant the same be said for the S-box USB mod??. I dont have a thing against no solder mods, They rate behind only origa chip and the line of no swap mods. No solder mods seems to work best with GS2 or AR2 as they will load all direct backup except dvd9. (Hull_chipper even has a rip that will load thats over 700mb).As far as the boot disc getting scratched up, i as well as a few other members have seen no solder mods eject the cd across the room from its hard eject. i have also seen the tray open while the cd is still spining on neo 2's as well as no solder mods so its not crap it does happen. Most people i know paid $20 bucks for there no solder, another $40 to $50 bucks for there GS2 and if they wasnt lucky enough to find a DMC demo on ebay another $50 bucks for dvd original. Thats $120 bucks, Or, you can send the PS2 to chipzone and they will furnish the magic3.1 chip, install it, provide insurance, shiping cost and provide a 90 day warrantee for 179.99. a difference of $60 bucks.I realize $60 is alot to some people and i believe in saving money also but before i would buy a swap magic disc that boots only about half the games i would purchase the GS2, AR2. +dvd original, or better yet i would save up $60 more and buy a no swap chip. I am not saying anything bad about the chip or being biased, I just think its a better investment to go with a no swap
