If your TV has two scart (AV) sockets, one will probably support PAL compression. Get yourself a PS2 to Scart (AV) lead. Not sure if you can get them in NTSC supporting countries but you probably can. Try each socket. Your console will play them if it is modded and even if your TV doesn't support it, you will still have a better picture when you play your PS2 games. Hope this helps.
