Its more like this: If you pull out your sword anywhere near the unicorn (attacked by enemies when near the unicorn).

I doubt it is in the same location all the time....

I doubt it is in the same location all the time. Seems to be kinda bad to have though as not being able to pull your sword near it really gotta s*ck. Also I've heard it walks away when you leave it...
