You should just really be looking to make the movie smaller than 4.38 gb, it's normally reccomended that you aim for about 4.35 max with DVD movies, they tend to work better that way anyway.

I can't figure out why it did that to you either, particularly if you have an American Dreamcast anyway, unless it just found a particular file on your VMU that it liked, and tried...
