About conversion Starcraft 2

Hi everyone i already have the graphs for the starcraft 2 with the three expansion, but the problem is how make for the setup.exe run the no-cd .bat file by RLD! at the end of the installation.

Code:

.bat file:

@echo off
md "%PROGRAMDATA%\Blizzard Entertainment"
md "%PROGRAMDATA%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net"
del /F "Run me first.bat"

another question is
-make the setup.exe with or without UltraArc
-add or not the reg entryes

...or its just packing files like always

KaktoR 30-11-2015 17:38

Game has no reg keys.

Why bat file? I know it's hard to believe but some own the legit game, like me. Let's make the decision for every single person who wants crack or not. Legit owners don't need cache files for new installation. and i dont want to replace my own cache files with some "cracked".

I've seen repacks about 15gb, but installation time 60-120min lol In this time i've downloaded the game twice. You can try out ultraarc, but i doubt it will less than 5xdvd5 without exotic compression like reflate or what it's called these days lol. But you can try all what ultraarc gives for compression. I think it's better so users can define own compression.

You can use a batch file for that too or just add two empty folders into the archives. It`s your choice. Cheers

@splitdvd9todvd5
It's just unimportant stuff in HKCU. I guess it's different from user to user.
Root: HKLM; SubKey: SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Retail doesn't exists for me.

@Gatosky: If you decide to go without UA you can go that way that REV0 does with extra cab files for cache files.

Or include whole cache files folder into Setup.exe directly through [Files] section.

Whatch out for additional Flags in inno help file.

Whatch out for additional Flags in inno help file.

1. Archive for empty folders.
2. Archive for Cache Files.
3. Archive for normal game files.

Where is the problem?

KaktoR 01-12-2015 11:58

For what an archive for empty folders? WHAT empty folders?

Where is the problem for [Files] icluded? Tell me.

= empty folders.

No problem, but i think it`s easier to create 3 archives files instead of editing the script.

KaktoR 01-12-2015 14:34

There is nothing empty-

And what's so hard to put a line into the script? No need for complete editiing, just put one single line into [Files].

Even if the folders where empty, so why to pack them in an archive? Game/bnet creates just new ones if they are not present.

You`re right. Both methods will work. I used the described method for my repack :cool:
