Languages:
en, de, es, fr, it

Size:
~550MB

Changes:
1.01 - Fixed redists

Notes:
- If you want to save your OST also, just put it in game folder before compress the game. And of course with other stuff! Use m3.bat.
- Usually i don't make conversions for CD, but in this case its okay because awesome game LOL!
- Changed: Leave _CommonRedist folder in game folder!
- Get new Setup.exe from post #9 if you're using redists during installation.

1. Download and extract the archive to somewhere (over the rainbow~)
2. Go to YourDocuments\Square Enix and compress "FINAL FANTASY III" folder with FreeArc and name the archive Save.cab. Move the archive to conversiondir\FF3.
3. Go to %localappdata% and compress "FF3_Win32" folder with FreeArc and name the archive Save2.cab. Move the archive to conversiondir\FF3.
4. Run m0.bat if you dont want to save other stuff, type in your game folder
5. Wait for finish
6. Have fun

As always test before burn on CD!

It does not work, then asks me to install directx Disc 1, looks great, see if you can fix it.

My mistake. Uploading new setup right now.

Also new important setup instructions.

- Go to %localappdata% and compress folder "FF3_Win32" with freearc and name Save2.cab.

From now on leave _CommonRedist folder in game folder.

fedeo 03-07-2014 12:48

download the new file, follow the new instructions and gives the same error

KaktoR 03-07-2014 15:25

Make sure your directx is on the following place

Quote:

{app}\_CommonRedist/DirectX/Jun2010/DXSETUP.exe

tried your conversion with both m0 and m3 bat with save and save2 cabs.
got the error "please insert disc 1"
i tried unchecking directx but still got the same error

KaktoR 17-07-2014 18:12

rename Data.cab to FF3.cab. This solve the problem. i forgot to change it in both bat files.

thats because i used two different folders for conversion and i have uploaded the wrong version of bat files :( sorry for that

ceifadorx 18-07-2014 06:46

ok tried the new bat 0 and still got disc 1 error in the middle of the install (when is extracting directx)
and bat 3 close the install in the middle (without giving error)

Is _CommonRedist folder in game folder?

edit: ok, idk what happend but the redists section in setup.ini get broken on v101 of setup... or i made a big mistake, not sure. here the new setup.exe. just replace with old one.

and make sure your files match to the following to prevent errors (for FF3.cab i used m3.bat). if youre not using redists just use m0.

still closing before finishes without error.
are other people getting this error?

this is the game paste after its closes in the middle of the install

KaktoR 20-07-2014 15:34

strange, maybe your AV blocks "some files" during installation? *cough* *cough*

disable AV and test again.

Worked perfectly fine here. thanks

ceifadorx 22-07-2014 18:43

ok found out what was the problem.
the problem was the compressor. I manually compressed the files with freearc (using m-3 and with name FF3.cab) and finally worked!
