Resident Evil 6 Repack
 

Hi guys i need a bit of help i created my first repack with installer creator but now i want to give the script version ago so i downloaded blackbox script pack and the slideshow and video the main iss which i have created works fine but for some reason the music isn't playing, has at first i was getting error message in the script on line where music file is so i changed the name hoping it would compile and it did but the music still is not playing on the setup.exe and next trying to compile video and screenshots script its saying. WizardImageFile=Style\Background.bmp fault so it will not compile could you look through my files i have created upto now and tell me what i am doing wrong any help in this matter would be very great full. Also in the video and slideshow script i am torn between two backgrounds and i am trying to decide if it means just a picture slideshow you can enter into the script, or can you enter a game trailer through the script so you are watching the trailor while installing or just a slide show please advise .i hope you can help me choose thanks guys here are the files in zip anyway which i have created for this game

I have edited the script and put all necessary files in and works fine hope you like enjoy.

Very easy to fix, look in ISS script for lines:
WizardImageFile=Style\Background.bmp
SetupIconFile=Style\Setup.ico
WizardImageFile=Style\Background.bmp
WizardSmallImageFile=Style\smallbitmap.bmp

That means from where the base ISS script is there is a subfolder called Style, and those 4 items are in that subfolder. As for the music not playing, try naming the mp3 to just music.mp3 ( not the long name you have )

Same goes for video not playing, in the Video subfolder you have a long name for the mp4, rename it to basic Video.mp4, then it too will play after re-compiling the script.

Hi guys i have finally compiled main script kept getting errors but carried on and persevered until i got it to work. Then their was the video and slideshow script that was the same deal but have finally got that also to work except of one thing i wanted to add the video background as-well has the slideshow has i am continuing pushing myself to see if i can get use to the scripting way of repacks. Has with the compiler i do not know myself for shore but do you have limitations of what you can do with them. Has the scripting way you have free rain over what you want to put in and what you don't. Like i said this is my second repack but done in a different style has i would rather do it like you guys. I do not know if you can do this but the installer boxes can you use cut out images and design an actual installer so it is not just a rectangle installer if you know what i mean. I have quite a few good ideas for games i would like to try but still need to get hang of this so i know what i am doing basically with my eyes closed. Anyway the reason for posting this and my script files is that they both work but for some reason the video file i wanted to use in the video and slideshow script is resident_evil_6_trailer_hd this one downloaded from youtube but for some reason even though the script is working great that is the only bit what isn't. So i do not know what i am doing wrong i have tried loads of different ways to get it to work with know avail. Its just like the music what wouldn't work until i got it too in the end. But this is different i think has their is know errors so i cannot see why the video background isn't working. One more thing guys now that i have two different setup.exe files one for main.iss and the other for video and slideshow how do you join them to run has one or do you just put them in a folder together once you have made your bin files from the game. Or is their some other way you afto go about it what i haven't read about yet. Has getting material on this subject is near to impossible. Well anyway guys here are my script files in rar files i hope you also think for my second repack, from just reading articles of the site to where i am now since i didn't have a clue especially scriptting i am really great-full to all of your help has i would not be at this stage if not for the site and your advice and help so thanks. I hope you can teach me more over time hope you tell me what you think.PS I nearly forget for some reason my top two images i posted at the top of the forum page haven't seemed to be on the installers has i was going to use different images for the installer and the video slideshow installer but for some reason they are exactly the same. :cool:
