For DVD5 only conversation, refer Onizuka87k's post:

http://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p...0&postcount=31

*Game's main menu was used as reference.

1. Install the game.

2. Move DirectX folder and vcredist_x86 files to somewhere else.

3. Download attachment and open it with Unicode version of INNO Setup.

4. Edit following line; according to your game's installed location:

Code:

#define ProgramFiles "D:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Spec Ops The Line"
Also, edit compression level from lzma2/ultra64 to lzma or none so it'll take shorter time to compress. If you change compression level to none, you will have 2 more GBs of bin files

5. Save it and compile.

6. Create 2 folders and name them: DVD1, DVD2

Move:

Setup1*.bin files, Setup.exe, Setup.ico, Setup.cab, Setup.ini, autorun.inf, Setup.dll to DVD1

Setup2*.bin files to DVD2

Copy:

Autorun.inf, Setup.ico files to DVD2

Also open autorun.inf in DVD2 and edit like below:

Code:

[autorun]
open=0
Icon=Setup.ico

7. Create a folder in DVD2 and name it: 'Redistributables'

Move Directx folder you moved before to this place, also move vcredist setups.

8. Burn contents to DVDs with same folder labels or make ISO files from it.

9. Enjoy OST taken install music.

Well, after Fabioddq's advice, i'm trying 1DVD5 conversion without MP, with max compres. and also sure it wont fit still.

I agree with you! Good one!:D:eek:

Just tried max compression and deleted multi files, still need more 400mb.

In standart INNO, 1DVD5 is not possible it seems. Precomp, srep, freearc etc. will do the job.

But they'll release DLC stuff in future, so you will need to put DLC files and updates anyway.. So DVD5 will be used regardless.

2xDVD5 it's fine for me too.

But, BlackBox installation is fast. ~ 10 min

Change compression setting from ultra to lzma, it'll take shorter

senseman 28-06-2012 10:08

@Fabioddq

why use lzma or lzma2 :confused: Compression: None... compile time 2 min

REV0 28-06-2012 10:36

Prashant007,

MP removed and didnt make any difference, i already explained it, check first page.

And Fabioddq,

I added extra info to first page about compression level, thanks for heads up

you CAN goto CookedPCConsole & remove all language files you DONT want.
IE for ENG only remove all *DEU, *ESN, *FRA, *ITA files, leae the INT files there. Removes over 1200 files reducing that folder from 5.75GB down to 5.18GB... not a huge saving but at least it may reduce size of final output a bit.

Nice idea, I also removed MP files and MP movies. But sadly still 60MB too much.

pakrat2k2 30-06-2012 09:12

try to increase compression see if it will then fit 1xdvd5

pakrat2k2 30-06-2012 09:41

the MP movies are only ~270MB & Files ~295MB, not that big of saving. But maybe just enough if increase compression level?!

akarikk 04-07-2012 14:12

just a quiestion do i need to compile installerscript.iss or LangScript.iis too?
in the other convertions was only one thats why i ask ty

pakrat2k2 04-07-2012 17:09

only installerscript.iss
