1) Install the game

2)In the game directory 'Codemasters\DiRT 3' folder delete the files of the languages you dont need:

*Example of English delete the folowing files*

README_German.html

README_Italian.html

README_Spanish.html

In the game directory 'Codemasters\DiRT 3\audio\speech' folder delete the folders of the languages you dont need:

*Example of English delete the folowing folders*

Code:

fr

de

es

it

In the game directory 'Codemasters\DiRT 3\language' folder delete the files of the languages you dont need:

*Example of English delete the folowing files*

Code:

language_fra.lng

language_deu.lng

language_esp.lng

language_ita.lng

3) Extract 'DiRT 3_1xDVD5.7z' contents and then edit iss script:

from: #define SourcePath 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Codemasters\DiRT 3\'



to: #define SourcePath 'yourgameinstallationpath\'

4) Copy from DVD9 to 'DiRT 3\Compiled\DiRT3' folder:

Code:

DirectX folder

GFWL folder

OpenAL folder

Rapture3D folder

5) Launch compile.bat & wait...

6) Burn or mount ISO in 'compiled' folder

DVD SIZE 4.17 GB

Download the fix and replace whit the 'DiRT 3.iss' file

not in regedit but the iss script itself, look for line

ShowLanguageDialog=no ( change to yes ) as all the custom messages are there for each of the 5 installable languages?

yeah i did... but i didnt want to do if after instalation... i needed to be in spanish all the time... so.. in my last attemp... i just added this line to the end of the "dirt 3.iss" in the part where it start to call the langID so it could take the spanish lang:

3082: Result:='3082';

where "3082" is the spanish locale string for the reg entry, if for some people still doesnt work.. try to make your lang as default by changin the last line:

else Result:='1033';

in that line you need to change the "1033" for your ID lang in your registry... thats if isnt already in the list...

what use to edit the iss script then !!!

first off you need inno installed then edit it with that

started the compile.bat and get this error... no files found matching "c\users\administrator\desktop\dirt3\yourgameinsta llationpath\*" ...
did edit the iss file as well but still same error ?

read step 3 AGAIN... you dont have the game installed in

c\users\administrator\desktop\dirt3\yourgameinstal lationpath\*"

works 100%. you dont follow instructions very well..

1. you installed game
2. where did you install game ?
3. edit the ISS script ( which is NOT extracted to gamefolder )
IF you installed game in default location it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Codemasters\DiRT 3\

so the first line in the ISS script would be:
#define SourcePath 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Codemasters\DiRT 3\'
save the script file & compile it.
