What's the most demanding game on pc?

I had a quick search, and found nothing on this subject. What do you think is the most demanding game available on PC?

If you mean "high hardware demands":
GTA 4, Crysis and Split/Second. (The last one is only a piece of crap.)

Split/Second, high? Excuse me? ^^

Napoleon TW, Metro 2033, Just Cause 2, gta4 (eflc), crysis, (bfbc2 dx11 with hbao)

Yes, only S/S got only about 1/4 off framerate GTA 4 makes on my PC with max settings (also 100% view distance and traffic).
Average Fps on my PC: (All max Detail, 16x AF, no AA):

Just Cause 2: 50 fps (Win 7 x86, all other XP SP3)
GTA4 (Eflc): 40 fps
Metro 2033: 45 fps
Crysis (Warhead): 35 fps
BC 2: 65 fps (DX 9)
Stalker Cop: 100 fps
Split Second: 7 fps
(Napolean TW: I dont have this one.)

playing split second with none less than 30 fps here... didn't experienced any stuttering.

Split/Second isn't a high req. Sounds like a driver issue if you're experiencing that sort of performance Cowsheep. Those ShadowDuke listed look about right.

Win XP Sp3, GF 8800 GTS, Driver 257.21 WHQL, Dx 9 Juny 2010.
For me, it looks like the developers made mistakes related to AA.
AA is turned off, but game requests driver to render frames with 16xAA, it even overrides the driver settings.

Most demanding game? - I don't think they have made a wife simulator :P

The most demanding game on the PC is Crysis.

It's not.

We have the suspicion that baxtergail is actually a bot; don't mind him (it?!).

Marinman101 16-07-2010 17:22

every game is demanding on my old 11 year old machine :)

And I have a Compaq SLT286 from 1989-90 in wonderful shape, only the accumulator is missing. Even simple DOS programs run slow on its 12 Mhz's; what's that thing called "Windows" anyway?! :p

2 years ago, I would have said Crysis. That's no longer the case, as it will do nicely on many new systems with a fair video card.

One of the most demanding recent games is Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The absolute minimum is a dual core processor. Though it mentions a 3 ghz Pentium D, just try running it without a $300 video card and an unoptimized system. BBC2 is one of the newer games taking advantage of Dual core (& I think quad core too)

Other recent games with heavier system requirements than Crysis: Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed II & Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, although that one is pretty flexible.

Metro 2033 on max can load the graphics card almost as much as FurMark...
