PES 2010: Conflict with Emulation Software detected!

Hi,

I'm having a problem with inserting a mini image to my game using Vurtual CD. Well I tried DT as well as Magicdisc. But they gave me the same error. The game is PES 2010 and I think it is SecuRom7 protected.
Basically what happens is when I try to insert the mini image it comes back with an error saying "Conflict with Emulation Software detected"

I read the FAQ and got some idea but still I am lost.

I have the original game and Windows 7 64. Is there any way I can use a mini image for this game?

Thank you very much.

This happens when you have more than 1 virtual drive. Either deactivate the others or deinstall other programs.

(i know this from DT...but Virtual CD, maybe - you can give it a try ;))

^Virtual CD creates 2 virtual drives when you first set it up. Is that what you mean? Disable one of them?

ShadowDuke 15-01-2010 18:22

Hmm, you should always have one only (But i don't know so much about Virtual CD, used it only a few times). Look if you have another in DT, as you said you used it. And then disable all virtuall drives, except the one you're using in Virtual CD.

^I reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 so I only have Virtual CD installed on the computer. Virtual CD created 2 virtual drives as I mentioned earlier. But I will disable one of them and try it that way. Should I disable the physical drive(my DVD-Rom) as well?

No, personally I would have used Daemon Tools over VirtualCD.

And you didnt have to reformat, all you had to do was uninstall ALL similar programmes that use virtual drives, and only install one.

What would be the reason you would choose DT over Virtual CD?

Update: I found this online,

"PES 2010 is protected by a version of Sony's SecuROM copy protection and as part of the checks performed by the game it checks for the existance of virtual drives which can be used to mount ISO disk images (or similar).

This error is produced by a conflict between the copy protection, and a virtual drive/disk emulator."

Is there any workaround for this?

Again. I have the legitimate version of the game.

well duh, if you didn't know what it was caused by perhaps you should be playing on a console or something.. 'conflict with emulation software' kind of speaks for itself..

^Sorry. I'm not really good at this. That's why I'm here asking for help.

usually with that messagebox there is a hyperlink or some code displayed, saying what the detection code is... did you click it?

sometimes its removed by the developers, but in a nutshell, its detecting you are running the game from a virtual drive, so blacklists are getting you.. solution is to try and use yasu or dte (at your own risk) and see if that somehow gets past the blacklists

TippeX, current public DTE's vUSB doesn't work in Win 7, therefore nothing unsafe there.

And for vIDE cloak he mostly has to clean device tracks in registry before it will work.

Thanks. Yes, there was a link and when I click on it directed me to SecuRom's website. Can't remember what exactly it said.
I will try Yasu I guess.

Hm, but the mini-image is in Virtual CD format, *.vc4 - and afaik you can't mount virtual cd images in DT. (or maybe in Pro? Didn't use it often)

And afaik in DTPro image mounted in vIDE you don't have to use yasu - or yasu don't/didn't cloak vIDE, i don't remember.

Maybe Virtual CD mount + yasu will work, since i don't remember anymore one game using vcd with yasu.

pronto 16-01-2010 14:23

^This is very confusing :D One question, if I download YASU and run it will it be a process I will be doing all the time if I want to play my game or is it a one time thing? Also will it be another process running in the background?
Also would "Virtual CD Hide" sofware work as well?

Bear with me guys :)
