Well if you read a little before trying this its EASY to figure it out.
IF you do step 3 3) Extract & overwrite 'Dummy.7z' contents to 'temp\Need for Speed(TM) SHIFT\Pakfiles\' Then you MUST do the last part of step 4 4) Start FREEARC browse game's folder after installation, or directly from DVD9 select: Otherwise use your games install folder, run freearc, then replace dummy files. Come on its NOT Rocket Science... just read a little first. |
RE-read his steps.. there NOT backwards... IF you replace the files with dummy ones then you MUST use freearc on original DVD9. IF you dont replace them then use installed games folder. people learn to read properly.

the program to edit SOME dat files AND most msi files is called "ORCA". Read thru some of the other conversions here, they contain pictures that show the changes made to the MSI file.
NOTE: NOT all dat files can be edited with orca, only those that were msi files but renamed as a dat file by game producer. do a google search for it. Once installed then right click on your MSI file & edit with orca will be in the list. |

Probably too much work to try to remove all the extra languages anyways. Peter does great work :) |
