Mass Effect - Wrong info on GCW
 

GCW info for Mass Effect:

"This game does not require the DVD to be present after the game has been activated with a valid/legal serial. So a Fixed EXE is not needed!"

This is completely wrong!

There are Czech version (CD Projekt release) with SafeDisc and Russian version with StarForce.
Both require no internet activation but require DVD in drive to play! I've been searching Online shops for Czech version to buy just because of this...(from info I gathered you can select and play that version in English)

Firstly the original release version of Mass Effect was published by EA, the czech and russian versions are NOT EA.

So the info given for ME at that time was correct.

@bmn2008: many ppl complaint here @ fileforums against the on-line activation and DRM. in the end, you are lucky cause you get an new game with old-style protection :)
at least you could take a better approach and inform ppl here that the Cz & Ru releases aren't on-line activated and you'll see some ppl thank you (even DABhand) than complaint against you.

The czech release, looks like a winner. Safedisc??? Yes, I want that, please!
As usual the russians are having it hard...

Well, Russians developed Starforce, they suffer from it, too, and they crack it, too. What's the problem? :D
