The Golden Compas DVD9 to DVD5 (UK ONLY)

[1] Download my RAR & install 7Z (Its Free)

[2] Copy the contents of the DVD9 to a new folder called TGC

[3] Right click on the Compas.DAT & select 7ZIP/OPEN ARCHIVE

[4] Navigate the folders until you have this

\compass\w32\sound\

[5] Select the following files, then right click & delete

NSD_FR_1.WAD
NSD_GE_1.WAD
NSD_IT_1.WAD
NSD_SP_1.WAD

[6] now save & when it asks to update archive say YES (WAIT 2 MINS)

[7] Make a folder for the crack & add to the disk

[8] Burn with volume label TGC

If you want to keep all languages then just install 7-zip, extract hlevels.dat, compress extracted hlevels file with 7-zip using setting GZip and compression level: Ultra. Delete hlevels.dat and rename compressed hlevels.gz to hlevels.dat, it then barely fits to dvd5, if not do same for mlevels

[1] Copy the contents of your DVD9 to a new folder called CNC3KW

[2] Create a TXT file & paste what is below into it..Save as RUNME.bat

[3] Place the new Batch file into the CNC3KW folder & run it

[4] Burn the folder using CNC3KW as the volume name

[5] Not Tested....

I saw in the other thread that moving around files involved editing the cnc3std.msi file. What about when deleting (multilanguage) files ? :)

You shouldnt need to ajust anything..According to the other post these are all the extra language files...If your on an English install of your operating system & your installing English only then the MSI wont need to find the other files so there will be no need to edit it for this conversion...

the files:
langua~1 to langua~9
are also required

For an English install only, my Batch file should be correct..You must make sure & choose Advanced install & de-select everything that isnt English..

If you have a non English/U.S install of your operating system it will probably error cos only the English files will be left..
