Crysis Warhead - FULL Backup [Multi2]

3 Attachment(s)
Crysis WARHEAD full backup [Multi2] version
1)copy dvd9 to temp folder
2)edit setup.msi in orca [edit only one msi, second we replace with edited version]
go to file table, sort by 'filesize' change filesequence for last two files:
Code:

FILENAME                          FILESEQUENCE
1420|Warhead_Sounds.pak        3 [from 1]
1412|Objects.pak                2 [from 1]

Attachment 623

go to media tables and add two lines
Code:

DiskId  LastSequence  DiskPrompt        VolumeLabel
1        1                  1                disk1
2        2                  2                disk2
3        3                  1                disk1

Attachment 624
NOTE1 :
you can change VolumeLabel to any other name but remeber to change VolumeLabel when burning dvd1 and dvd2

go to PROPERTY table and add row [in right panel click RMB and choose 'Add Row']
Code:

DiskPrompt        [1]
Attachment 625

save and copy that msi to subfolder 'data' replace it.

3)Move file to safe place
data\Game\80845C2A\C48BA571\Objects.pak
we need it to burn on disk2

4) Burn disk1 with VolumeLabel=Disk1 [or any other read NOTE1]

5) Create new temp2 folder for disk2
copy from temp folder files:
autorun.inf
Warhead.ico
recreate subfolders
data\Game\80845C2A\C48BA571\
and copy to that subfolders Objects.pak [temp2\data\Game\80845C2A\C48BA571\Objects.pak]

edit autorun.inf from temp2 to looks like this
Code:

[autorun]
open=0
icon=Warhead.ico, 0

NOTE2:
use these when testing, probably don needs label line

6) Burn disk2 with VolumeLabel=Disk2 [or any other read NOTE1]

NOTE3:
Installation sequence dvd1 dvd2 dvd1
not tested :)

edit
remove from dvd1 autorun.inf line label

edit2
after testing second problem
dont add any other files/folders except that must be on second dvd [like in posted conversion]
or installer dont ask for dvd1 again - even with proper msi

hello, I'm little bit disoriented - so updated setup.msi I must burn on disk1 or disk2? and can be normally next to autorun.inf and warhead.ico or must be in objects.pak directory? thanks a lot guys

msi on dvd1 only - but in two place the same edited version
on orginal dvd have only two msi and new msi must be in the same place

Nice conversion mondragon, though i didn't get it, why this 1-2-1 hassle. I've modified *.msi almost the way you did, except no "3" was added to tables. Install sequence is 1-2-done. Here's my modified setup.msi. everything else except that i did exactly the same as mondragon wrote here

Weird. Worked for me. I also put all files from disk1 on disk2 except these in data folder.

mondragon 21-09-2008 08:27

maybe have other system ? vista i have xp
or other installer/version

pervert 21-09-2008 09:18

mondragon

Yes, i'm on vista, though i doubt it would affect installation that much. It's Crysis multi2(chinese & english only), AutoRunCD.exe ver 1.0.1.2

mondragon 21-09-2008 09:31

vista dont have these problems :)

pervert 21-09-2008 10:45

Is that so. Well then, i guess it's not so important, if it works on outdated os'es or if it doesn't. ;)
