Questions on using NO-CD/DVD or crack

Hi all. I did read the FAQ and i could not find the answers to my questions that i have in mind.

I purchased original games and i would like to play them offline and online without using the disc in my optical drive.

1. If i downloaded a crack/No-DVD patch and apply it on a game, will i still be able to play online? Will my original CD key be compromised and stolen? Will i be blacklisted by the game server and oppose a ban on my account?

Thanks.

Arch

Usually, you cannot play online with a crack because the (in any way) modified executable is considered as a way of trying to cheat. Yes, your online account may get banned for either/both using a crack or trying to cheat. Your CD key will be just as much (not) stolen than when playing the game uncracked, unless using a fake crack (which do exist but you won't find them on GCW) that has been written for the special purpose of stealing CD-keys.

Unfortunately you won't be able to play online if you use a crack. A mini-image it's recommended for online use, but not a crack. Most of today's games have a file integrity check, and the crack is treated as a modified file and an attempt to cheat. So using a crack for online games it's not a wise idea.
If the game it's single player only, you can use a crack with no problems, but as for online games, you need the original CD/DVD in drive(or a mini-image mounted in Daemon Tools, as the mini-image provides a no-CD solution, without overwritting any of the original files).

yea even if the game did work with a nocd crack online i think if its a popular game the company would ban members who dont have a legit serials or something

i have legit serial key as i purchased the original game. so would they still ban me? if so, i will need to have the disc in my drive and use the original before i play online right?

also, let say if i previously installed some tools like daemon would they blacklist my CD key? thanks

If you mount a mini/maxi/full image into Daemon Tools then you can play online without having to fear of getting your serial/CD-key banned. (If the original game, without a no-CD/DVD patch, accepts the image then the company cannot tell you're not using the original CD/DVD.)

I guess is not good generalize. It's true on a lot of cases games won't work with nocds and will need mini/maxi images

But there are some games that work with nocds on line. I have do myseft that on some

It's not generalize. Images are by far the best choice:
1.- Can't ban your account
2.- Avoid worries with noDVD releases - you hope for a *proper*
3.- No drop frames/sec - happens on some games
4.- Original executable is intact - patching the game is no problem
and many other reasons.

If I found a image or create my own image (good luck) I use it instead the noDVD.

Images have pros over cracks but also have cons. Blacklisting every new protection patch updates and use a new antiblacklisting tool coz the previous one turned obsolete and no longer developed

And also depending of the protection for example Starforce on images a bit problematic on some cases

As all ready mentioned NoCD/DVD cracks are fine to use on single player 'Offline' games.

But which 'online' games are you referring to?
