playing my back up cd using old ps1(the bigger one...plz help!)
i just made my very 1st back up cd for ps1....the game is harvest moon back to nature...
i made a back up cd 'coz my old original disc is full off scratch...and i'm using an old ps1...the bigger one.... the thing is.....when i successfully loaded my saved game....after going out my house(in game ofcourse) the screen will be black....that's part of the game...but.......that's it.....it will stop there....black screen but the bgm is still alright....the bgm doesn't skip or hang up....but i can't continue playing.... then i tried a new game....after going out the house...its worked fine!...but when i enter the beach....there i go again....black screen with fine bgm..... does anyone here knows the problem?..and knows a solution...?.. btw...while making the back up cd... the read speed is maximum....writing speed is 4x.....i used clonecd... my dvd-rw drive is TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TH-H552U...its samsung writemaster....i think?...(sorry im not that familiar on these things)...and i think im using a cheap cd-r disc....coz i haven't heard of its brand...hehe an btw again....sorry for my english...^^ plz...help me out....thankz.... |

Get DVDInfoPro, find out the media ID (the ~10 character code of the CD type) and find a database that tells you how good quality that particular CD is. (Sorry, I only know of a DVD media quality list...)

Being in the Philippines I guess the game is NTSC.
That one has no protection and you used the worst possible program to back it up with. CloneCD is no good for unprotected games, use Goldenhawk's CDRWin instead. If you don't use good quality discs you are also wasting your time, Verbatim is the best to use. |
