GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Joe Forster/STA 26-12-2007 18:43

It says "could not load OpenGL subsystem". Install the latest drivers for your video card. If still no luck, reinstall the game from your original and apply the latest official update.

Curst 26-12-2007 20:23

What kind of graphicscard do you have?

SwordWielder 26-12-2007 22:53

Its a CPU T2080...and my video card is ATI Mobility Radeon X1400.......So how could i get the latest drivers....

Curst 27-12-2007 00:07

Try http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Psykomanius 27-12-2007 06:15

+ get the latest DirectX Nov2007 Driver.

SwordWielder 27-12-2007 08:17

Sry to be a pain but i dont know how to do that kind of stuff at the site for updating drivers

BarryB 27-12-2007 08:59

Latest DirectX from M$:

DirectX November 2007

Just download and install it!

DABhand 27-12-2007 10:23

Yeah looks like the graphic card driver, your Windows must have been using MS's WMD driver which has no OpenGL support.

Joe Forster/STA 27-12-2007 10:29

(The monolithic DirectX installation package is linked to in the FAQ...)

Select Operational System first. then type of card "Mobility Radeon", then your model "Mobility Radeon X1400" and click go. ;)

SwordWielder 28-12-2007 08:14

For BarryB's post..where he put that link....what is the location to place the extracted files, thats what it asked when i opened it

BarryB 28-12-2007 09:19

Extract them anywhere you like then go to the folder where the files were extracted and run the dxsetup.exe. Next time you reboot your PC you can delete this folder where the files were extracted as DirectX will have been installed.
