HI, this is my first problem with windows vista

whenever i try to open a folder, it open in another window

the picture can explain my problem

Did you try the restore defaults button? Also use the restore defaults button on the view tab.

Or check to see if in the View Tab the option "Launch folder windows in a seperate process" is not ticked, if it is untick it.

i did nothing happend same problem

it was not ticked so i tick it but the same problem

No the option should be unticked.

I dont know myself any other option in Vista that would do what your windows is doing, unless its an Aero option.

My father is having similar problems and his still using Windows 98. That should be yet another proof to stop using Windows Explorer and learn a decent file manager instead. (And, yes, he now knows basic handling of FAR Manager and Total Commander.)

In the VIEW TAB is there an 'Apply to all folders' option? If so click that and see if it helps!!
