Lord of the Rings - Battle for Middle Earth 2: Rise Of The Witch King problem
 

Hey guys, didn't know where else to put this.

I have been playing ROTWK for quite awhile now and love it. I have a couple friends who play with me and we LAN quite often. That is until the game stopped working....

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit and I had the update 2.01 version of the game. Now the game won't even launch to the splash screen when I double-click the .exe file. I'm running the maxi image under Daemon tools 4.10 which YASU 1.4 to cloak. As I stated before, when I attempt to run it, the process appears for a few seconds and then dies and I don't even see the splash screen of the game. Anyone have any ideas?

**EDIT** Sorry, forgot to add that I've tried rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling, System Restore for Windows, Previous versions of the files from Windows...I don't know what else to try...

And does it work with the original DVD (on all PC's on the LAN)?

Well, the thing is it works on the other two PCs we use it on. The exact same setup as mine (Maxi image, Daemon Tools 4.10, YASU 1.4) and they still work with no problems. And to answer your question, no, it does not work with the original disc. Same result as before (No splash screen, process starts and then ends abruptly) Which leads me to believe that maybe it's a problem with Windows or something....

**EDIT** I just noticed something else that might be of interest. When I uninstalled it and resintalled it, it did not place any folders or shortcuts in my start folder as it had done before.

Try updating your drivers and contact the publisher/developer, too. More information on this in the PC Games forum FAQ.
