Got a minor problem with World in Conflict myself..

When I try to start the game, I get the black screen, and then the game crashes to my desktop. I've tried both crack and image. Does anyone know how to fix it? My pc is brand new, so it's not a spec/hardware thing. Otherwise I'll just have to buy it :P

How are you playing the game if you don't own it ?

simple, he downloaded it, isnt it obvious?... 'tried both crack and image'.....

also, i tested the crack against the protected exe... got a 10 fps difference...
ie: crack ran 10fps slower than the protected exe...

weird

I thought this one was still in Beta

came out this past tuesday

is it true about the crack that it makes WIC run 10fps slower?

Try it out yourself. I didn't experience any diff in FPS with crack and original. If someone can point me to a benchmark utility that gives average FPS, I'll gladly try it out.

Fraps

Played the first NATO mission in the campaign, first 10 min, had artillery strikes, tanks blowing up, anti air rockets and all that other nice shit.

Average FPS without crack: 43 FPS
Average FPS with crack: 41 FPS

Gaming rig was top of the line 8800 GTX, 2 gigs of RAM, dual core and all that nice shit.

erm the game has a benchmark inside it...
graphics options...

kk will use that in 2 secs. If anyone has any mission which has especially sick graphical effects that they want me to try out, just say so :)
