SimCity 4 Deluxe V1.1.638 - Makes no Sense
 

The original SC4 deluxe is 1.1.610, with a no-cd patch available.

But there is an update to version 1.1.638, with most of the mods working with this version only. The update is available for more than a year now, IIRC, but I just spent two hours looking for a new no-cd patch all over the net and it's nowhere to be found.

How is that possible? I grew up to believe that anything that can be cracked will be cracked within two days. Frankly, now I'm more interested in knowing why there is no no-cd patch that in actually finding it. :)

try to unwrap the exe using a safedisc 2 unwrapper.

Where can I find this unwrapper? There are many results on google, but I can't find a working install file.

I found a few versions on GameCopyWorld, but they either show some error or tell me it's not a safedisc2 protected file.

Scan the main game executable with Protection ID (see the forum sticky).

times have changed, protection has gotten better... such is life

if the update is 1 ish years it could be safedisc 3 or 4, and theres no generic wrapper for that (unless you count the arteams unpacker... which is a piece of crap and probably wont work)...

if it is too new he could use a mini image.

I don't think the update is safe disk 3 or 4 If I'm not wrong it haven't been a recent SimCity game in more than 4 or 5 years. IT must Safedisk 1 or maybe 2.50 or something like that.EA is like Ubi when release a game usually only give patches for it one year or luckyly 1 year and half after release

Safedisc 2.9 is the protection.
