psx .exe patches
 

Hi, I'm a total newb- help please!

I have a psx game which is ntsc and I have a pal playstation with a mod chip. I already know that ntsc games work on it, but I want to patch the ntsc game to pal so it is in colour on my playstation.

I have the patch- but it isn't a ppf patch, it's an .exe. I also have the demo version of CDRWIN, if it helps. I have no idea where to start when it comes to using the .exe patch to burn the game- can anyone explain?

try opening the exe?
its either a self extractor
or a virus..
check it out maybe before you open it?

I had a go of running it- it says "Destination CDRWIN Iso (full path)?"

I'm guessing I'm supposed to make an image file of the game with CDRWIN, and then put the path of the image file in it.

And the game is Final Fantasy 8.
