NFS CARBON PROBLEM on Intel gma 3000
I have a Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz , 1 GB 533 Ram, intel gma 3000 256mb onboard graphics adapter and Windows XP Home. Branded Machine Hp. Whenever i click the exe to run carbon, the screen goes blank and it goes back to xp.. Plz help...

hm..
As you installed the game, the newest Directx was installed to, so no error from that.
But i Don't Know your Graphics Card, Maybe you should upgrade that, it runs with cheaper Cards like Older Radeon 9600 or Nvidia Cards for about 100 Bucks. Do other Games work fine on your mashine ??? Try to download the newest Drivers for your GMA 3000 (This is an onboard GPU) first, maybe this solves the problem... |
Think you are out of luck with Intel graphics.
Minimum requirements are - 64MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (NVIDIA Geforce4 Ti/ATI Radeon 8500 or higher) using a supported chipset |
Try without a crack. Also, read the system requirements in the manual/on the box.

Well as far as the Intel GMA thing goes, i supposed that it is sufficient as this new GPU is cool stuff, it supports Pixel Shader 3 and is better than the Geforece 7600 GS in terms of performance. Other games like Company of Heros, C&C Generals, NFS MW all work super at max video settings....

Doesn't matter how much 'cool stuff' it is.
According to EA the only chips supported are either ATI or NVidia. As is the case with all problems like this it is best to ask EA about this problem. Contrary to what some people may believe Gamecopyworld forums do not supply support for game play issues. |
Carbon can't be played with onboard graphic chips.

He he he I didn't see that. Intel graphic VS Nvidia
I would rather choose Nvidia TNT 2 M64 with 32 MB sdram then any Intel onboard chipset.:) BTW I have 7600 GS and it runs Carbon bloody good... |
that game is not designed to work in a intel gma 3000 you need to use ati or nvdia graphics cards!!!
