Godfather, I have not seen anyone have this prob... Please Help?
 

Ok, i've tried mounting the original Image and the Mini Maxi image (MI-GTG.MDS) .. with a fresh Godfather.EXE (not cracked) , i've used alcohol, DEAMON Tools...with and without sd4Hide..... and nothing happens, why does this game not load? , all i get is a quick EA Screen pop up, then it dissapears and no game starts, it seems like it "Wants" to start......can someone help by chance? ... i've tried every method possible im sure...but maybe im missing something :confused: :(

Does it work without the image and just the uncracked exe?

No, it asks for a CD...as expected...

K well, the point of mounting images or applying No CD patches is so i don't "have" to put my original CD in and, try again... i would like to play the game without having to put the CD in everytime, so, im not sure how everyone else is getting these No DVD Cracks to work, or how ppl are useing CD/DVD images and playing the game with no problems, but all i get when i mount the DVD Image (.MDF / .MDS) is a quick EA Screen, and the game doesn't load.....so instead of telling me to put the CD back in, which completely defeats the purpose of useing NO CD Cracks or Virtual Mounters and CD Images all together, why not try to help? :P lol .. CureRom doesn't seem to help either....

Do you not understand?! The game may not work WITHOUT A CRACK either! First read entry IV/2 of the forum FAQ, and then the rest of the FAQ.

You was asked if the game works without crack/image with your original disc, to see if your problem is a crack-problem or a problem with you pc.

yeh the game runs with the Real DVD in my DVD Drive....but not without it, i've tried every mounting method and every NO DVD Patch available with my Image (created with Alcohol120%) ... , nothing seems to work. all i get is a EA Screen that pops up, (like it's going to start) then it dissapears and nothing happens. :confused:

Also, if you have updated Windows with the latest updates from MS. Check Add/Remove programs for Update KB917422 and uninstal it, then reboot your PC and see if the game works.

Make sure when in Add/Remove programs to check the box for "Show Updates"

unfortunately neither suggestion worked, i did an uninstall of that specific update (after doing 62 critical windows updates i have been neglecting)... and the link you gave me didn't help much for my situation. the game just quickly flashes the EA Splashscreen, then the game doesn't start. i have used the mini image mounted, the original image mounted, all the "no DVD" cracks available, aswell as Procyon, Asr and sd4hide ..... for some reason, as a mounted image, it just doesn't wanna go past the EA Splashscreen sure wish i could get it goin.. anymore ideas are appreciated, thanks. :o

i have the same exact problem... when i use the mounted images with or without sd4hide the ea logo comes up for a second then disappears and ive tried using all of the cracks but when i do that no ea logo comes up it just says godfather.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows, same thing happens with every crack :(

yeah i guess so, but if everyone here has atleast gotten into the game except for me and gloom theres gotta be somethin were doing wrong and a way to fix it

could the problem for some crazy reason be that im running on windows 2000? i dont see how that WOULD be the problem considering the game supports it, but idk just an idea

The game might support it but the cracks can be done crappy like XP only stuff, who knows...
There wasnt even a proper crack that fixed SDAPI correctly for several weeks or even months, so this might be a possible reason.

Whilst cracking games a lot can well ... get damaged ... or you need to use APIs for a loader etc. which only XP has etc. etc....

well that didnt make much sense to me. is there a way i can get the game goin with a crack or what u were saying is that i cant?
