Help with X3 : Reunion
hello,
i've this problem when i try add patch for X3 : Reunion onto DVD MEDIA. i wanted to make backup of X3 but to have all on one dvd. i use ultra iso to edit image file, and when i add folder and add patch inside that folder i save image file and then when i try to mount it...it doesn't work. well autorun anyways. i won't even run if i try to open file manualy from the folder described in he autorun.ini...there is execute file that just stops working. but when i remove any structuar change to image, like deleting all folders and files that i just added it works again. is there any way around this. i would really like to add this files to backup dvd and that autorun still works. is ther any protection on starforce that checks structural context of dvd so it won't work if i add antoher, or is there any file i can edit to add more folder to check list or what ever it does. i aprriciate any help.t thanx in forward. |
which image format u r using?
|
i tried NRG (nero image format), why? do you think that might be it? i think i have tried with alcohol image format also (mdf+mds,).
the thing is when i load any image format without added files it works. with, doesn't work. |
Try copying all the files from the original DVD to a temporary folder and then add the patch to that folder, then use UltraISO to create a new ISO from the files in that folder.
This way it will create a compatible image that should mount and install, you'll still need the original DVD to play or use the 1.04 crack. |
FYI the new X³ Reunion v2.0 patch (31mb) that promised to remove Starforce has been released:
