Am I doing something wrong ?
I want to backup `fantastic 4` I used dvd decryptor to read as an ISO file.
In the folder I have 3 files , FF4.MDS , FF4.I00 , FF4.I01 Is this right ? I have written the Iso file , selecting FF4.MDS and written ok. I use action replay, which works on my other backups ok. But this one doesn`t work.!! I am writing at 1x onto tuffdisc x8 DVD-R. I use this all the time to backup DVD films with no probs. Should I try other media ? or is there something else I am doing wrong ? |
Different media may help. I've never heard of the brand your using. If your using AR to boot you may also need a patch. BTW, What modchip do you have?
|
can`t remeber what mod chip it is, got it from Canada a long time ago.
It say `S-Box` on it ? Fab4 doesn`t appear on megagames patch list , any where else you suggest i look ? thanks John |

I believe the SBOX doesn't support DVD-R - hence your problems.
You're going to need a new modchip my friend :) |
mmm....i think you might be right
what about HDadvance? is it any good, sounds easier than re-wiring the insides of my Ps2 again. |

Yeah the USB S-Box doesnt support dvd-r backups. Its definately time for a upgrade only these mods were known to damage the laser over time as well. |
Does your mod look like this?????
http://www.freewebs.com/makave2345/M...Key%20Blue.jpghttp://www.freewebs.com/makave2345/M...ey%20Green.jpghttp://www.freewebs.com/makave2345/M...0Key%20Red.jpg Here is a link to the boot procedures for your chip also!!! http://www.freewebs.com/makave2345/M...FEncrypted.htm As Warlock and Bighap has already informed you..... It does not support DVD backups......:( As far as HDadvance is concerned...... If you want to use something like that.... Go with Hdloader........ Hdadvance is nothing more than a stolen version of Hdloader....... |
You know what makes this thread ironically even more of a blast from the past .... well that would be all 4 of you guys posting in this one thread .... good times :D
|
LOL @ spedmetal. So true.:)

Tuffdisc are CMC Mag. I do believe. The difference between Tuffdisc and standard DVD-R is the fact that Tuffdisc have an extra protection coat on the dye layer. You see them around a fair bit here in the UK - don't know about the US though...
