Problem with Toca Race Driver 3.

Hi all, i have a problem with toca race driver 3(Starforce inside):

I created a image with Alcohol 120%.
I Mount image with Daemon Tools 4.03. All emulation options ON.
I disabled ide controllers with Starforce Nightmare.
and i run toca 3. but appear an error: Please insert a licensed disc.
How can i do to run it? Thanks.

P.S: The game is original!

It all depends on the chipset of your motherboard. Although I didn't get the licensed disk error. Are you sure you used High DPM measurement while making the image in Alcohol?

If that doesn't work, you'll have to unplug your IDE drives. That's the only thing that worked for me.

I don't think your Motherboard's chipset is one that can bypass the Starforce protection by disabling channels, so you'll have to unplug the drives. If someone has a better idea, throw it on the table.

Your image is not good enough.Download better .mds file from www.copybase.ch and replace your current .mds file with the downloaded and try again

Make sure you rename the mds, you download from 'copybase', to the same name as your mdf. Both names must be the same. (except for the extension of course!) ;)

Monkay 06-03-2006 05:05

well it is the same name. still get the message.

here's how i got mine to work..it may help someone i don't know..anyhoo

1- Install VirtualDrive pro.

2- Mount Full Image in DT 4.0.3.

3- Open Virtual drive pro.

4- On Virtual drive click - > VCD managers - > on Tools - >

5- Click Disable IDE above the CD Rom and start the Game.

runs a treat without the disc, the missus don't mind me playing while she's watching eastenders but she hates the disc spinning up so i'm happy as a pig in the proverbial now this works.

hi i got it loaded with curerom (i think u can download that from gamecopyworld.com) i had to unplug my dvd rom from my computer tho. i mounted it with daemon tools 4.03 with all the emulation on. i used the same meathod i did for star wars empire at war.
1. mount with daemontools 4.03
2. use curerom and point it to the game exe.
3. open computer case and unplug dvd/cd rom power and ide.
4. start game with desktop icon made by curerom
5. :D play game for 3 hours till it gets to hard
6. leave computer and forget you ever installed it and probably never play it again.
7. come back a few hours later and wonder why your dvd wont work.
lol

Chunter it really works, thank you one thousand times :D

Note: It works with "Alcohol 120% 1.9.5 Build 3823" too.

I Mounted image in daemon as suggested, and as my hard drives are sata , just disabled dual channel ide controller in device manager, worked a treat, did'nt need to unplug power or ide leads for dvd drives
