NFSMW - Create Image With NO Cracks at all
 

Got some info for you guys, it says it supposed to work for StarForce as well

I have the Need For Speed Most Wanted Black Edition & updated the Game to v1.3...

I also decided to Buy the app called --> VirtualDrive Pro v10
as it looked Interesting & thought a Change from Alcohol 120% would be the go since they have not Updated anything for a while...

GOOD NEWS
Following these steps works
1. Create Image using VirtualDrive Pro v10
2. After about 40 Minutes or less you would of created Successfull Image.

I still have Alcohol 120% installed But I had to Get rid of the Virtual Alcohol 120% Drives because it would not work...

Continued:
3. From Start Menu
Click on --> Programs --> VirtualDrive Pro & Click on VirtualDrive Pro Shortcut
Now you get Menu Display you click on the Tab Heading Called: Virtual Drive Then Clicking on the VCD Manger & in the new Window Click on the Tools & Disable Ide CD-ROM thats all you need to do & now you can Play NFSMW from your Original Image Back NO CRACKS at all.

With Alcohol 120% Make sure you do not have any Virtual Drives as it will not Work otherwise...

I no longer have any Games that have StarForce 3.4 or Later...

After doing the above steps I then Re - enabled Alcohol 120% Virtual Drive (only 1 of them) but left my Real Drives Disabled (Not Hard drives) & I am running with Raid Hooked up) Mounting the Image with VirtualDrive Pro again the Game Played good...
This time I converted the Image ".vcd" to ".iso" & the Game failed to start, I converted the ".iso" Back to ".vcd" the Game Now works again successfully.

Also if I mount the Image.vcd in Alcohol 120% now without VirtualDrive Pro Running an Mounted Image the game will also work, I am a bit confused with this but its sort of making sense now as to what they are doing with Protections...

NFSMW Protected Image
 

After doing some Experimenting I have now re installed my PC from a Ghost Backup... & I don't have Virtual Drive Pro 10 installed & still have Alcohol 120% installed also with 2x Virtaul Drives...

The Image Created by the Virtual Drive Pro 10 is a Definate working 1 & it does work with Alcohol 120% installed & Virtual Drives...

The Only thing you must do is to Disable the following thing's

From the Start Menu click on
Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> System --> Then in New Window Click on 1 of these Tab Headings "Hardware" without the "".
Now Click on the Device Manager

Now Open & Disable the following:

DVD/CD-ROMS drives
Click on the + symbols to open the List & disable all your CD or & DVD Drives Listed by Right Mouse Click on your CD & or DVD Drive here then select Disable... The Same Process to Re-Enable them when needed.

Then you must Disable this as well using the same Method as above for Disabling:

IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Primary IDE Channel
Secondary IDE Channel

Thats all...

To Re Enable Start by doing the folllowing Order
Primary then --> 1st CD or DVD Rom Drive
Secondary then --> 2nd CD or DVD Rom Drive

Hi ! :D ok, it's possible this work, but this game particulary suck big ressources and have some lag problem's due to other program's that run at same time on the computer, a virtual cdrom progi is a useless ressources sucker in this situation and reloaded's crack, is the best solution to run this game without suplementary ressources sucker.
Have fun, use existant crack, and stop to surch useless solution.:D

NFSMW Backing up
 

Done some testing & the following is like this:

I can make a successfull Image of NFS Most Wanted CD Version with SafeDisc 4.6x Protection.

When I try to make a Copy Protected DVD Version of my Quake 4 that also has the same Protection SDv4.6x, it Fails & will not Make a Successful DVD Version Backup.

A Friend of mine came around with his DVD Version of Area51 which is Protected with StarForce v3.?? but cannot Remember Exact version...
Trying to do a Protected Copy of that Failed as well.

My conclusion is that it looks like it is better than Alcohol 120% as with Alcohol I could not Make a NFSMW Protected Back.

I can not & could not test it with a CD Version of StarForce so that still remains to be seen how successfull that can or would be...

Yes I also do use a NO CD Crack, but I am just showing people my results I have had in making a Working Backup as some people may prefer it as well instead of cracks, also if a new Patch comes & someone needs it as a fix then they can still rely on a Working Backup if a NO CD Crack is not available.
