swap magic v 3.6
:( There are three sensors that you have to take care of in order for your swap magic cd’s to work. 2 of the sensors can be used with tape…………The third sensor can be used with anything long skinny and flat…… if there was only a way to copy that swap magic…………. :( :(

i am gettin very confused now
right ,,,,, yup you need to fart about and mess with the ps2 to get swapmagic sorted etc etc ,but what you describe has nothing to do with the laser being able to read a backup(copy) !!!! swap magic has 2 discs eg dvd and cd you load either depending on the media the game is on right??? so the origonal discs (swap magic) do whatever they do to be able to boot up copys ,,,ok so far ?? right so if you make a copy of the swap magic then you would need to boot it up via the origonal swap magic ?????? errrrm i aint goin on any more coz its doin my head in now but just to say why do you need swap magic or mod chips ??? to play copies for obviouse reasons !! so please explaine how a copy of an origonal disc will load up in an unmodded machine ? |
It won't - and those sensors are only applicable for PSTwo (slim) models...
Forget those stupid discs, stop being a cheap *ss and get a real mod. We don't recommend them for the good of our health... When my v4 system went titsy-poo back in the day, I borrowed someone elses system, who happened to have a flip lid installed. By christ, did I want a modded PS2 back - those discs are pathetic. 2 weeks later I bought a v7 w/ Messiah 2 1.33b from a mate - and only sold that as I aquired myself a new v9 v.cheaply :) |
?
Ps2 use a special zig zaged groove on the original disks (including the swap magic’s) this is why your dvd/cd burner can’t copy them, so the playstation knows that it is not an original disk and thus won’t load. So if you are using the knife/swap method to boot back ups then you still need this zig zag grove to trick the playstation. So if you copy a disk you can’t load it with out the playstation copping on to what you are doing. Hopefully now you understand how booting backed up games works. The way the mod chip works is it gives the ps2 the info it is looking for telling it that an original game and to boot regardless if the game is backed up or not
My advice is GET A MOD CHIP as you are just going to damage your ps2 and with a chip you put the game in and it loads Hopes it helps |
