Some news for starforce 3.7
 

I was looking for a new firmware of my optical drive in www.cdrinfo.com and i saw this:

StarForce Updates FrontLine version 3.07.013

The most significant change in this version is the improved protection against emulators, according to the company.

There are several disc-emulation programs that allow qualified users to run copied applications protected by versions prior to FrontLine 3.07. StarForce claims that the current release of FrontLine makes it impossible to run a protected product from a copy made by any known disc emulator including Daemon Tools 4.0.


My question is do you think that this is really so bad or it is just another marketing trick?I also wonder is there any games already released that use this starforce version.And finally i also wonder is there any way to update the starforce drivers installed on my machine to 3.7 to test if my backup of the Price of persia Two thrones DVD will still work with version 3.7 of starforce.Thanks everybody for the answers.

i think its not marketing trick but daemon tools' next version (maybe 4.5) will emulate it... and i know there is no game using 3.7, and i think games' protection doesnt update... new released games will use 3.7 but games which using 3.6 will not update to 3.7... (i know it from scct)

Mhmm...ok,I´m from Germany so Im sorry for my bad English ;) But I think there are some Games,wich already are protected with StarForce 3.7!
Ich bought me "Wintersport Pro 2006" (I think in Englisch: "Wintersport Challenge 2006"). Because it doesnt work with "StarFuck" and "Deamon 4.0" ect..... and when i right-click on the Protecting-Programm and then on "Version",stand there: 3.7.13.0
So i think that there are already some Games with StarFoce 3.7....
